Shipping Data Entry: Shipping Data Entry captures the contents of each package and the shipper ID to provide an additional level of shipment detail. Shipping Data Entry can then link directly to V-Technology’s Starship to calculate freight and tracking information from the MAS 90/MAS 200 desktop.
   
Directed Picking: Directed picking leads handheld users through the warehouse in the most efficient way to increase picking efficiency up to 55%. Multiple orders are picked in single round of picking making the feature ideal for a high volume warehouses.
   
Multi-Ship: Companies using multiple handhelds need to access the same sales order to ship goods simultaneously. Multi-ship provides that capability while updating pick quantities across devices.
   
Pick/Pack Entry: Picking and packing are often two separate processes in a warehouse. RF Enterprise allows a pick to be validated real-time then staged for packing. The items are scanned again as they are packed to capture package detail and invoice the end customer on the fly.
   
Multi-Bin: Scanco’s Multi-Bin enhancement brings the ability to track the same item in multiple bins from a handheld device. When used in conjunction with ACS Group’s Multi-Bin enhancement for MAS 90/MAS 200, the handheld application prompts for a bin location every time an item is received, shipped, transferred or counted.
   
Auto-Update: Auto-Update creates a true real-time warehouse environment. Standard RF sends transactions wirelessly to MAS 90/MAS 200 but a user must review then update the transactions within the ERP system before inventory levels are updated. With Auto-Update, transactions confirmed from the handheld are immediately updated in the MAS 90/MAS 200 database giving users the most up to date information on inventory levels.
   
Batch Select: Batch Select allows the user to ship orders and specify the invoicing batch number from the handheld. An extra level of tracking and control is gained by using the batch number to designate specific shipments, handheld users or any other method of separation you choose.
   
Scan Each: Scan Each completely eliminates the need to enter a quantity when shipping, receiving or counting inventory. Once an item number is scanned, Scan Each automatically assumes a quantity of one and places the curser back to the item number field. Efficiency is easily increased by reducing one step.

Radio Frequency Small Business :

Scanco’s RF for Small Business encompasses all the necessary transactions for companies looking to get started in barcoding without a large investment of time or dollars. RF Small Business provides distribution companies all the tools to handle basic shipping, receiving and inventory transactions. Each scan is validated against MAS 90/MAS 200 real-time and transactions are created with the push of a button. Here’s a quick overview of each component of RF Small Business.
 
 
 
     
  The software includes five major components :  
 
Inventory - Transfer inventory from warehouse to warehouse, issue material out of inventory and receive in inventory without a purchase order using RF Small Business. Inventory movement is captured on the fly to provide up to the minute accuracy
   
Shipping - Shipping is a major component of the distribution process and orders must be correct each and every time. With Invoice Data Entry, an order is selected on the handheld and items are scanned as they are picked. Each scan is instantaneously validated against the Sage MAS 90/MAS 200 database to ensure the correct items and quantities are shipped every time
   
 
     
  Receiving :  
  Delays in receiving can result in lost sales if the inventory is not shown as available. Purchase Order Receiving is updated real-time with RF Small Business. Simply scan the purchase order number then scan each item as it is received. Receipt of Goods transactions are created wirelessly as the orders are received.  
     
  Physical Count :  
  RF Small Business gets physical and cycle counts done quickly and efficiently. Scan the warehouse code, item number and quantity and immediately watch the quantities accumulate in MAS 90/MAS 200.

MASPrint Designer harnesses all of the data in MAS 90/MAS 200 to give you the power to create and print shipping and product labels directly from your MAS system. MASPrint prints thermal labels using the data in SO and IM modules plus adds two new screens to enable users to enter information that is unique to each customer, such as their supplier number. MAS Print takes inventory label production a higher level by offering custom designed thermal transfer labels with unparalleled versatility.

Shorten Your Pick, Pack, and Ship Process

 
 

Handheld devices provide you with a fluid process to perform the picking task for one or several orders. When the selected order appears on the handheld, the system displays all items that are to be picked—sequentially or one at a time—directing the picker to the appropriate bin for each item. At the end of your picking process, all completed pick items will be sorted according to common customer Ship-To Addresses, Shipment Dates, and Shipping Methods, simplifying the start of your packing process.

After Shipments are generated and the picking process is complete, it’s time for the handheld Packing task. Pack up all your items into a single package, or select the next box indicator to break the shipment into multiple packages. You also gain the ability to divide the contents of one shipping line into two or more packages.

Shipping information flows directly to Sage MAS 500 and you can see it when you access the Edit Shipments task from the desktop. From there, you’ll be able to view shipping transactions and send the appropriate Shipments to StarShip if desired.

 
     
  Make Inventory Reconciliation Really Work for You  
  Do you experience significant write-offs when you take your annual or semi-annual physical inventory? Most of the time, it’s a mystery as to how many transactions contributed to these inaccuracies or when they occurred. Worst of all, by the time you find the discrepancies, it’s too late to make adjustments to get your profitability goals back on track. You may have considered the technique of cycle counting to address this issue in a timelier manner, but the execution of manual cycle counting seems impractical due to the time it takes. Warehouse Automation for Sage MAS 500 enables you to get control of inventory reconciliation in a swift and accurate manner by supporting both your full physical count or cycle count events.  
     
 

Continue to Work During RF Disconnections

 
  With Warehouse Automation, handheld processing continues during unintentional disconnections from radio frequency communication. If you walk out of RF range or if the RF network goes down, you can carry on your critical, time-sensitive warehouse activities. And, after reestablishing RF communication, simply run the Synchronizer that validates the handheld data and sends it to Sage MAS 500. Any data that fails validation goes to a separate table that can be viewed from the desktop, edited, and re-sent to the appropriate tables within Sage MAS 500. You can even take advantage of planned disconnected processing by running the Synchronizer in advance of performing activities out of RF range, such as taking a physical count at non-RF-enabled warehouses or stockyards. After the disconnected activities are complete, simply run the Synchronizer again to complete the process.

The LabelXpert Designer module allows you to customize the label formats that are included with the Warehouse Automation module as well as create new label formats. LabelXpert Designer allows users to customize labels for every purpose; item tags, shelf tags, bin tags, carton tags, and more. LabelXpert Designer supports both laser and thermal label printers.

While the LabelXpert Designer will most frequently be installed in conjunction with the Warehouse Automation module, you can purchase and install it separately. If your company needs to design barcode labels to meet the packaging or retail requirements of your customers, without automating your own warehouses, then this will prove to be a simple, economical way to fulfill basic bar coding requirements..

 
     
  If purchased without Warehouse Automation, the basic LabelXpert Designer module provides you with label printing capabilities from a single workstation, with the option to purchase licenses for additional printing workstations, if necessary.
